From mine to market: the journey of a diamond
Did you know that diamonds take billions of years to form? The process can last anywhere from 1 to 3.3 billion years! Some of the world's oldest diamonds are over 3 billion years old, while the youngest are still more than 900 million years old.
Once naturally-formed diamonds are mined, they undergo various procedures before they're ready to be set into jewelry and sold to consumers like you.
After being mined, rough diamonds are sorted and sent for further processing. However, it's worth noting that only around 20% of all mined diamonds are actually used in jewelry. At Meru Diamonds, we pride ourselves on using only the highest quality diamonds. When you consider that we only select the best from that 20%, you can understand just how rare and exceptional the diamonds we use truly are.
Our assortments are carefully sifted through to select only the finest diamonds, which then undergo cutting and polishing procedures to bring out their full brilliance and beauty.
Our skilled craftsmen take great care in shaping each rough stone into a perfectly cut diamond, ensuring that it exhibits the maximum brilliance and radiance possible.

After the diamonds have been polished, they are once again sorted according to their cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. Only the very best diamonds are chosen for use in jewelry manufacturing.
Gold and platinum are used as a base metal for a newly designed jewelry and our craftsmen give these metals a new avatar.
We proudly offer you a unique combination of precious metals and exquisite diamonds, crafted into stunning jewelry that is certified by the best brands worldwide.
